The theme for the 2017 World Pharmacists Day is...
“From research to health care: Your pharmacist is at your service”
Over the years the role of the pharmacist has changed from someone who just puts pills in bottles and gives out medicine, to someone who has become a provider of care. A pharmacist's passion lies in contributing to the healthcare of their communities.
Just this week at Clive's Chemist we’ve:
- Conducted blood tests.
- Changed dressings.
- Visited patients' homes because they couldn’t make it to the pharmacy due to illness.
- Given vaccinations.
- Gone to a community group in Wainuiomata to spread the message of good, healthy living.
- Hosted a pharmacy student on work experience.
- Checked a number of children for potential strep throat.
We use a variety of avenues to improve the life of our community here in Wainuiomata. We’ll do anything we can to ensure that people are getting the maximum benefit from the medicines they take. We do this because we believe this is one way to ensure improvement on the quality of your life.
